SUOC runs on leaders! You may be thinking- ‘Wait, I’ve already read that on the Becoming a Leader Page!’ and you’d be right! But SUOC doesn’t run solely on trip leaders!
SUOC has a whole slew of different leadership positions for which members can run!
When you think of the people who run every single aspect of the club, you’re thinking of Executive Council; our President, Vice President, Treasurer, DEIA Chair, Secretary, and our Equipment Room Chair- they make up ‘Exec’.
Then of course, our trip leaders themselves, who lead and run trips for the activities they can, and the Activity Chairs, who spearhead everything related to their activity and give new leaders their leaderships!
Or maybe you’re wondering who types out our websites (fourth wall break hehe) and who runs our social media; Those people would be our Members at Large.
Many SUOC Leaders hold leaderships in several groups mentioned above, so this place is the one-stop-shop to find out a bit more if you’re curious about someone who is leading your trip!

Hi!! I’m Alicea, and I’m so excited to be serving as vice president this year! I’m heading into my senior year as a nutrition major with a minor in public health. While I may prefer my time underground, I also love to hike and paddle. My appreciation for the outdoors has been instilled in me my whole life. I’m ready to work hard and make this an amazing year!

Fairly recently in the context of everything, Danny Todd was born. Various things ensued. He joined SUOC in 2024 and has been hooked ever since, enjoying paddling, vertical and horizontal caving, and hiking. In his free time, Danny likes to read, play the guitar, and bike.

Hey! My name is Diya and I am currently serving as the DEIA Chair. This is my third year in SUOC and my goal for this year is to go on at least one trip for every activity! Although I am excited to try everything, my favorite activities include backpacking, caving and climbing. As DEIA chair, I am working to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our trips. I am excited to work with chairs, leaders, and the club as a whole to advance DEIA initiatives!

Howdy!!! I’m Orly, the current Arrowhead of SUOC!!! You may know me from the SUOC emails last school year or perhaps you know me as that one ginger that sits in the trees! I’m an avid caver, horizontal and vertical, and enjoy climbing as well!! When I’m not on a SUOC trip, you’ll probably find me on the quad, up in a tree drawing, in the basement of Shaffer, animating my little heart away hehe- I’m an animation major- or singing with my acapella group, Main Squeeze!! I’m so excited to see the work all of you make this next year and I am SUPER delighted to be your current Arrowhead!!!
